Painting lessons

Claire and Kate know SO much about chalk painting techniques and are incredibly generous with their knowledge and help whenever I ring or visit their shop. There's always a smiling face to greet me when I walk in their door. They also have an amazing range of chalk paint, waxes, all manner of decorative finishing products, as well as stunning items for sale that Kate and Claire have painted. It's a joy to walk into their shop and to learn from them both.

Geeta is an amazing teacher and person. She’s very Patient and kind with the kids. My 4 year old developed a great interest in art after he started classes with little wooden hut. She teaches good techniques in a fun way. Highly recommended.

I just love the atmosphere and energy and friendly staff at Commonage Pottery, there is always something on offer, from pottery classes (with Japneet & Gary), art classes (Gerald Ashcroft Palette Knife) to encaustic (wax art)classes (Colin Pratt). The beautiful pottery that Gary Produces is top quality, I have such a selection of his pieces from vases to crockery and lamps. I enjoy using Gary's beautiful casserole dishes too, they work a treat and so easy to clean.

If you looking for an art/drawing class for your kids, The Little Wooden Hut is an excellent and very affordable. Ms Gee is very accomodating and my 2 daughters are very happy with the class. Bonus is you can use your creative art voucher. The school holiday program is also an excellent activity for the kids to do. My kids always looking forward to attend their art class with Ms Gee.

Amazing arts, so talented!

A great experience, lovely staff/instructors, only negative is no toilet in studio (access to one is available via a walk but you don't want to miss any instructions so you hold it)

My boys had the best experience with Jackie...she spent a lot of time with them and they loved it. They even said she made the best coffee !! The artwork they did is amazing and will be hanging in their rooms.

My children Dania and Jashan have been attending the Art classes and Holiday Workshops at the The Little Wooden hut for more than 2 years and absolutely love the well planned creative activities. Being a graphic designer myself I wanted an inspirational teacher for my kids who is passionate about art education. My kids feel truly cared for by their art teacher Geeta at The Little Wooden Hut, she has been very successful in engaging my kids in their art education. We are very fortunate to have found Geeta who i must say is one of the best art teachers I have known personally. She continually creates art, exhibits art in some way and shares her talent with her students.Geeta is someone who loves what she teaches and likes to engage everyone in the class by making learning fun. She is a great art teacher who really loves kids and sees potential in every child. My kids have learned a lot of Art Techniques and Colour Fundamentals over the past 2 years which has built their confidence and knowledge in Arts.Geeta communicates effectively in her class and likes to see her students and programs shine.
